February Members' Night
Alternative Water Demand - Managed Aquifer Recharge in South Australia
Members are invited to attend the first Members Night of 2018 – the February Members Night.
Alliance Chief Executive Rachel Barratt will share some of the key plans for the Water Industry Alliance in 2018.
We will also be joined by special guests, Peter Kretschmer and Donna-Lee Edwards from the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources who will share an update on the latest managed aquifer recharge projects including the recently published report on Adelaide’s MAR schemes and the upcoming projects for 2018.
Peter will provide an overview of the upcoming project: Alternative Water Demand, Integration and Optimisation (AWDIO). The aim of the project is to identify opportunities to optimise alternative water infrastructure and will have three main stages:
constraining estimates of demand for alternative water,
identifying opportunities to link schemes to demand and potentially each other to create a more resilient supply, and
identify opportunities to remove constraints in existing infrastructure.
Come and hear about these projects and be involved in a discussion on how we can further SA’s management of its precious water resources and optimise alternative water infrastructure.
Presentations will be followed by networking over drinks and nibbles.
