Members are invited to join us for an afternoon meeting followed by networking drinks on Wednesday 28 October to hear about solutions to water-related challenges in the oil & gas sector.
The Oil & Gas Supplier Forum, in conjunction with the Water Industry Alliance, the Industry Capability Network and working group #3 of the Roundtable for Oil & Gas Projects (efficient and fit-for-purpose water use in the Cooper-Eromanga basins) will focus on suppliers of water services to the oil & gas industry.
Eleven companies have been invited to deliver a short pitch on their solutions to water-related challenges in the Cooper Basin and other onshore or offshore regions.
See details on our presenters below:

Maric Flow Control:
The Maric constant flow valves are an Australian invention, manufactured locally. With the ability to limit and maintain a constant flow rate regardless of pressure, without external power or actuation, these valves are finding innovative applications In the CSG industry, in the management of flow rate in their water treatment and pumping installations.
Hydrosmart:
Hydrosmart is a South Australian company manufacturing a electronic desalinating and antiscaling technology that enables water to remediate problems without need of chemicals or with greatly reduced chemical requirement.
Sentek:
Sentek Technologies is an award-winning company that designs, develops, and manufactures sensors and solutions for precision measurement and management of soil moisture and salinity dynamics. Sentek’s technology is used to simply visualize the dynamics of the plant-water-soil-atmosphere interactions.
Irrigators and crop managers use Sentek solutions to manage their day-to-day irrigation and fertigation requirements, but the products also have applications in turf, landscape, agriculture, research, mining and environmental management. Sentek equipment is sold and supported worldwide by an established distributor network which currently spans over 80 countries.
Hydro-dis Water Treatment Systems:
The revolutionary Hydro-dis® technology supersedes traditional chemical and non-chemical disinfection systems, through the in-situ generation of Chlorine from existing Chloride ions within the source water body, thereby eliminating the use of hazardous chemicals. The fully automated modular nature of the technology enables it to applied to both small and large disinfection projects ranging from Potable, Non Potable and Waste Water applications.
GHD:
GHD is one of the world’s leading engineering, architecture, environmental and construction services companies. We provide a range of services to the oil and gas industry including investigation of sustainable water management solutions and the design of systems for treatment, recycling, and contaminant removal.
Aqueon:
Aqueon Pty Ltd offer specialist consultancy services across the water, mining, petroleum, agribusiness and built environs sectors. Our unique approach to water resources management at all stages during the operational life cycle of petroleum or mining extraction projects combines traditional earth science and engineering with state of the art technology to develop solutions that help manage information and reduce risk in the areas of:
Mining and Petroleum water supply, mine dewatering, mine and CSG water management, pre-feasibility Environmental Impact Statements, operational and right through to mine closure studies.
Water recycling and reuse, in particular Managed Aquifer Recharge.
In collaboration with key partner organisations Aqueon Pty Ltd can deliver a complete turnkey solution including the delivery of BOOT schemes for water supply to mining, petroleum and agriculture.
Guidera O’Connor:
Guidera O’Connor is a mid-sized, private South Australian company specialising in the design and construction of water treatment and pumping infrastructure. They have Achilles accreditation, Federal Safety accreditation and have delivered in excess of 250 water projects throughout Australia over the last 14 years.
Hydrus Technology:
Hydrus is a technology company that is delivering leading edge solutions for a range of wastewater challenges, including the treatment of flowback and produced water for either reuse or safe discharge. Hydrus’s fully mobile water treatment unit with a capacity of up to 840kl/day will transform contaminated wastewater into clean clear water and a benign sludge suitable for landfill.
Osmoflo:
Osmoflo is a progressive water treatment company that provides tailored, turn-key water and wastewater solutions across the industrial, resources and municipal sectors in Australia and globally.
George De Cicco will present Osmoflo’s capabilities in the delivery of water treatment solutions for the Oil and Gas Industry. Osmoflo’s Brine Squeezer innovation is featured in the presentation, which is currently in the process of being delivered for Santos’ Energy NSW - Narrabri Gas Project.
Micromet:
Founded in 1997, Micromet is a water management company with offices located in Adelaide, South Australia. With a national scope and international partnerships in North America and Canada, Micromet has introduced several disruptive world leading products that changed both water management and irrigation industry product offerings.
Micromet’s innovative water treatment department has for a number of years been developing proprietary electrolytic water treatment systems, developing small marine grey water treatment units. Micromet then further developed the system to handle raw sewage and a range of industrial effluents and scaled up the technology to treat municipal-scale water flows. Successful trials in both South Australia and Canada followed, leading to certification of the technology in Saskatchewan (Canada).
Operating from the innovation hub at University of Adelaide’s Thebarton campus, Micromet’s staff consists of a highly experienced management and technical team of nine (9). Sustained success over the last twenty (20) years is evidence of the capability of the company and its R&D team.
Advanced Material Solutions:
Advanced Materials Solutions (AMS) is an Adelaide based high tech manufacturing company. AMS has patented metallic filtration membrane technology which it has combined with internally produced titanium powder, to create the most advanced and cost effective membrane solution, for water and fluid microfiltration. These capabilities will deliver revolutionary and sustainable filtration solutions by significantly improving flux rates, energy efficiency, surface area, lifespan, strength and durability. AMS’s titanium membranes can be applied to even the most extreme, abrasive and corrosive environments.
